Meet the London-based creative who has already dressed Julia Fox and Rita Ora:
With a knack for creating brilliantly tailored gender-neutral pieces with surprising motifs, the anonymous designer takes inspiration from everyday life occurrences and twists them into off-beat, ethereal silhouettes. But how would The Uncommonist describe their aesthetic? “My designs tell their own story – it’s all an extension of myself, as well as my love of rebelling,” they tell.
”The brand’s name was inspired by a moment of defiance, a notion that frequently occurs to the designer. “I was advised not to go with the brand name initially, but when people advise me not to do something, that makes me want to rebel even more,” they explain. “I have always gone against the grain, the name represents this.” Despite the designer’s already impressive list of famous fans, they’ve got their eye on a handful of A-listers that they feel are aligned with the brand’s vision.
