Listing agent Marti Voorheis of Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate said the home was originally built as a custom design for a large family that wanted room to entertain.
The home at 10405 Somerton Drive is part of the Northway Hills neighborhood, which is near the intersection of Midway Road and Walnut Hill Lane. It is just a few blocks from the Episcopal School of Dallas. There are six bedrooms, six bathrooms and one half-bathroom in the home’s 7,438 square feet of space. There’s also a third-level bonus space that is not counted in the square footage. Voorheis said it was originally intended to be a bunk room.
Double front doors lead into the home’s foyer, which is open to the living room. The home’s main living spaces have an open concept design. The living room, which is next to the home’s foyer and main staircase, has a fireplace on one end, bookcases for storage and two sets of French doors that lead outside. The kitchen on the opposite end of this space has an island with space for seating. The kitchen’s design includes white cabinets and marble countertops.
Voorheis said that on a sunny day, you don’t have to turn on lights in the house because sunlight is so plentiful in the home.
