A total of 19 players with hockey ties to New Jersey and high school hockey were selected in the 2022 USHL Draft.

John Carlson, Connor Clifton, Johnny Gaudreau, Eric Robinson, Ross Colton, Anthony DeAngelo, John Leonard, Mattias Samuelsson, Cam Dineen, Kyle Criscuolo and Cayden Primeau are all New Jersey natives that have played in the NHL this season with ties to the league.The Phase I Draft, which was held on Monday, consists of U-17 players, meaning a birth year of 2006 or sooner for this 2022 draft.

Another stellar sophomore for the Green Wave last season, D’Alessandro was a Second Team All-Gordon Conference and Third Team All-Non-Public winner. He found the back of the net four times and collected six assists for 10 points. But more importantly, he and Brown were two stalwarts on a Delbarton defense that allowed 1.19 goals per game this season.

He racked up 20 goals and 29 assists and helped lead the Colts to both a Gordon Cup and Non-Public championship. His terrific career ended with 41 goals and 87 assists.
