William portrays Theo in EastEnders EastEnders star William Ellis has revealed how he balances his busy filming schedule with being a competitive swimmer. The actor, who portrays Theo Hawthorne on the BBC One soap, recently did a 65km swim around Jersey, which took him 9 hours and 52 minutes to complete. Speaking about the challenges that come with balancing both of his passions, William said that he doesn’t know how he managed to fit everything in over this past year.
William joined EastEnders earlier this year as Theo, a former high school teacher of Freddie Slater , who soon turned his attention to Stacey . After stalking Stacey for months, sinister Theo claimed to be in love with her, locking a terrified Stacey in her own kitchen, with subsequent scenes seeing him attempt to rape her. Theo is yet to face the consequences of his crimes Freddie came to Stacey’s defence, bludgeoning Theo over the head with an iron in a heated showdown.
