The breed has been labelled 'a clear and lethal danger'
A dog breed at the centre of a number of high-profile attacks could soon be banned in the UK. The Home Secretary has confirmed she is seeking advice over a possible ban of the XL bully.
"It was just horrific, I can't get it out of my head, but the doctors and nurses did everything they could. They were amazing." The schoolboy suffered serious injuries to his face, as well as injuries to his arms and hands. Officers seized the dog, which has since been confirmed as an XL bully, and a woman was released on bail after being arrested in connection with the attack.
She added: "His face was really bad. He was bleeding everywhere. The police closed off the road. There was so much happening my mum didn't know what to do. His clothes were all ripped up and he had scratches all over his arms. It was just horrible and absolutely traumatising."
