Take a look through this weeks Piping Live! event as pipers and visitors from 'across the globe' descended on Glasgow for the world's largest piping festival.
enjoyed a week filled with live performances, recitals, competitions, free concerts, workshops and more, as visitors from all over descended on Glasgow for the festival's 20th edition.
The celebration of piping kicked off on Monday 14 with around 150 pipers taking to the streets of Glasgow's West End as part of Piping Live's Big Band event. This year marked two decades of the festival, which runs in the heart of Scotland's cultural calendar.The festival will draw to a close on Sunday, August 20 with daily music and entertainment taking place across the city as the Piping Live! Big Band brings the city's streets and venues to life with the sounds of traditional music and Scotland's national instrument.
"Seeing pipers of all ages and at every level coming together to play is always wonderful, but being able to watch them joining forces to march as one as they parade through the streets of our great city is extra special.
