Set to Britney Spears’ “Gimme More,” the nearly 2-minute clip shows Tedros and Jocelyn meeting for the first time in a club, where Tedros tells her: “You’ve got the best job in the world. You should be having way more fun.”
“More fun” indeed ensues, including sex-tinged scenes of partying, drinking and consuming cocaine that seemingly combines “Euphoria” and “50 Shades of Grey.” That may not be an accident, as “Euphoria” creator Sam Levinson — as well as Reza Fahim and The Weeknd — co-created “The Idol,” too.The overtly sexual teaser continues as Tedros blindfolds Jocelyn and caresses her body as she records vocals, and the pop star’s team freaks out over a selfie Jocelyn supposedly took while “on her f – – king knees.”
“Pop music is like the ultimate Trojan horse,” Tedros seductively enlightens Jocelyn. “You get people to dance — you get people to sing along.” “I want to be the biggest touring act ever,” Depp’s pop star declares as a montage of Jocelyn dirty dancing with others flashes across the screen.
