The star of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ and the new film ‘Her Smell’ has a knack for working in off-kilter fictional worlds that echo everyday lifeElisabeth Moss has just finished with a recent day shooting the third season of “The Handmaid’s Tale.” She says in a phone interview that her character, known as both June and Offred, didn’t spend any of the workday in Gilead, the dystopian nation in which the majority of the first two seasons of the Hulu show took place.
Is this because they were shooting a flashback? Or because June has escaped government-run sex slavery in the land that was once the U.S.?
