In the afternoon, you will take a 90-minute walking seminar in the company of physicists Dr Carol Trager-Cowan and Dr Jochen Bruckbauer. Together, you will explore Glasgow’s impressive scientific and industrial heritage. After checking into the MacDonald Holyrood Hotel & Spa in Edinburgh for the next two nights, you will take a short drive out of the city to visit Thirlestane Castle. After a fascinating tour by a member of the Maitland family, who have called the castle home for over 400 years, you will dine in one of the historic private dining rooms.Today you will gain significant insight into the scientific history of Edinburgh as you visit several sites and museums.
