The Festival Village has been gone from the Trafford Centre for almost 20 years
Having recently celebrated its 25th birthday, the Trafford Centre has changed remarkably since it first opened.
Festival Village was the perfect place if you ever needed a break from the ‘hustle and bustle’ of the main centre while still doing a bit of shopping. "The speciality area will also house an 8,500 square foot gourmet food area, two cafes and a prayer room. And children will have a play area, theatre and themed restaurant."Many also remember the 36-foot high tree that was placed in the village as part of the Trafford Centre's Christmas celebrations. The giant tree had a mouth and eyes which would follow passing shoppers, singing to them as they strolled by.
