Major festival of music heading to city this month
The UKs first ever mainstream Gospel Music Festival takes place on September 9, 2023 in Stanley Park, Liverpool.
"I come from the Elim Pentecostal Church, so that background and history, the worship is amazing. My brother started when he was 17 with the Love & Joy Choir and then moved on. The festival is organised by Liverpool Lighthouse, a charity based in Anfield. It’s sponsored by VistaPrint, Arts Council England, Liverpool City Council, PRS for Music, Love & Joy Ministries and the Gospel Music Industry Alliance, and is supported by Liverpool Football Club.
"We want to platform the music in its true form in a way absolutely everybody, whatever your background, beliefs or non-beliefs, can enjoy”. "Liverpool Lighthouse is committed to supporting the protection and development of Gospel Music and we aim to provide a much needed platform to Gospel Music artists, and bring joy to our audiences.”
