Toronto jewelry brand celebrates International Women\u0027s Day with stylish collaboration.
Canadian jewelry brand Mejuri is celebrating International Women’s Day with a stylish collaboration with tastemaker Jenna Lyons.
The launch sees the style icon create three jewelry designs for the brand — a 14-karat gold engravable signet ring, an 18-karat gold vermeil signet with black onyx and a gold vermeil herringbone chain necklace — each designed to signify “strength, autonomy and self-expression.” “My father had his family crest on a ring. So did his grandfather. It was something I saw that was very common and it was traditionally worn by men,” Lyons said in a news release of the designs. “I like the idea that it’s now for anyone and for any woman that can own their story and have their own signature.”
Five dollars from the sale of each collection design will be donated to the Mejuri Empowerment Fund, which aims to support women and nonbinary people, according to the brand. The collection is marked with an IWD campaign featuring change-makers such as actress Tommy Dorfman, Olympic athlete Allyson Felix, journalist Noor Tagouri — and, of course, Lyons.
