'The Global Crypto Community Stands with Ukraine' cryptocommunity donations
Slightly more than 2 months since those events, it is now crystal clear that Ukraine, its people, and its government are fighting with all they have. It has also become evident that the world will not stand aside when the Russian political leadership, its armed forces, and a sizeable part of the population instigate and support crimes against humanity in the neighboring nation.
The government of Ukraine called for help, and the crypto community responded. As of March 25, 2022, the community has raised over $65 million for humanitarian aid and in support of the Ukrainian armed forces. DAOs, NFT platforms, and other projects developing Web3 were actively donating crypto and NFTs to the government of Ukraine. Not to mention the appearance of creative NFT collections like Ukraine DAO, Art Under Artillery, Ukraine`s Angels, etc.
