Worth a stop if you're on an M6 night time drive
Kendal has been named as one of the best places to stargaze in the UK, and the good news for those of us travelling from Lancashire, is that it's just minutes away from the M6 at junction 36.
According to he latest study from BestGamblingSites.com, Kendal is in fact one of the best destinations for stargazing, with one of the clearest views in the UK.The company analysed light pollution data to predict the best and worst locations in the UK for stargazing this April. Kendal came fifth of the list.
Not only this, but Kendal has a Sky Quality Meter reading of 20.50 , which is just 1.50 points from being the darkest reading possible, making it the perfect location to stargaze. James Roy, brain health expert from Brainworks Neurotherapy, has commented on the impact of light pollution and not seeing stars regularly.
