, it seemed like the Bay Area’s time in the “Jeopardy!” spotlight had passed. But on Thursday, another local contestant was crowned as the show’s new champion.
“It’s been kind of a whirlwind since taping in December and having to hold on to it and not tell anybody. My class was very curious about it, as 10-year-olds tend to be,” Takimoto told SFGATE. One tip he offered future contestants, which he wishes he had known before his appearance, is to practice physically writing down your answer for Final Jeopardy on a whiteboard or piece of paper.
