The Knicks have the means necessary to acquire Anthony Davis, and AD reportedly would like to play in New York. The question now is whether or not it makes sense for the Knicks to pull the trigger and push all their chips into the middle of the table.

However, if the Knicks signed only KD, and not another costly free agent, New York would have plenty of cap space available to absorb Davis' contract without having to worry about sending matching salary back to New Orleans. Assuming Barrett falls into the Knicks lap at No. 3 overall later this month, he would also be a tough piece to part with. Barrett was viewed as the consensus top prospect in the country at this time last year, and then went on to become
