Netflix releases trailer for new action thriller 'Trigger Warning' starring Jessica Alba. Alba is a former Special Forces commando who comes in conflict with a gang causing trouble in her hometown.
On Tuesday, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences extended invitations to join the organization to 487 artists and executives including actresses Lily Gladstone, Jessica Alba, and Kate Mara.
Jessica built her career starring in films like Sin City: A Dame to Kill For and Machete before focusing on her consumer goods brand The Honest Company in 2011, but she made a comeback in the new Netflix thriller Trigger Warning. Aside from Gladstone, the Academy included the 2024 Oscar winner Da'Vine Joy Randolph, 2024 Oscar nominee Sandra Hüller, and 2024 Oscar nominee Danielle Brooks.
'We are thrilled to welcome this year's class of new members to the Academy,' Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Janet Yang said in a statement.
