Flight are being impacted by a power outage to the control tower at Hobby Airport
were scaled back Saturday morning after officials announced a power outage to its control tower.
Around 9:45 a.m. The Federal Aviation Administration was working to restore power after a generator fire, according to airport officials. Passengers were urged to check the status of their flights before going to the airport, as Hobby officials said they should expect delays. However, a little after 5 p.m., officials confirmed via Twitter the power was restored, and flight operations were back to normal.
"Thank you for your patience!" Hobby Airport officials said. "Power to the control tower has been restored. Flight operations have returned to normal."
