Texas snaps losing streak to Iowa State with win

But No. 22 Texas was the better team this time around, claiming a tense 24-21 win over Iowa State despite some sloppy moments.The Longhorns failed to score off a blocked punt recovered at the Iowa State 21. Quarterback Quinn Ewers and his receivers looked out of sync on a few throws. And every yard gained on the ground felt like going 12 rounds with Clubber Lang.
Maybe it was a Red River hangover, or maybe it was Iowa State’s presence. But eventually, Texas’ offense found a little groove.
