Gov. Greg Abbott on Wednesday said next month’s special session will include border security proposals, following increased pressure from bipartisan lawmakers.
The governor has repeatedly butted heads with the White House during Joe Biden’s time in office.
“There is a war going on on the border, and that war is between Texas and the United States of America,” Abbott toldThe state’s Republican party unanimously passed a resolution last week calling on Abbott to put the development on the special session agenda. Last week, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said on a radio show that he would ask Abbott to put the issue on the special session.
