Teresa Palmer opens up about A Discovery of Witches reunion on new movie The Twin
– now available to watch on Shudder – sees Palmer play Rachel who, following a tragic accident that killed one of their twins, relocates to the other side of the world with her husband Anthony and their son Elliot.
The script was a real page-turner. The moment I got it, I started reading it, and I had to sit in one place and I didn't move until the very end. It was so riveting. It was quite an interesting one to have to work through, lots of complex emotions came up. I thought I was doing a really good job of switching off at the end of the day. But I started having dreams, and the storyline would infiltrate my nightmares, so it definitely hit quite close to home.I would wake up just sweating and I would see my children next to me, and I'd start counting them all. I've got so many [laughs]... 'Alright, we're good, we're good'.
So that one was great, because I knew that that was going to be the case, and that wasn't a coincidence. I'd just wrapped with Steven on the final season, and I was like,"I know he's available. Let's just grab him to come and do this". It's like when you ride a bicycle, you put it down for a while, you jump back on, and you know what you're going to do but it's a bit wobbly at first. And that's how it was jumping back into horror. I was like,"Oh, whoa, this is a really intense experience to have to navigate".
