Affected households in south-east England are being offered bottled water at park-and-ride sites - but there are claims that supplies are not enough and are too far from residents
Bottled water stations have also been set up by South East Water, but the company has been criticised for placing them too far away from residents.
In an email seen by the PA news agency, South East Water said it is hoping to soon open a station near the West Sussex villages of Handcross and Pease Pottage, where about 1,800 homes are still without running water, and there is a station at Beacon Academy in Crowborough, where around 1,000 homes are still disconnected.
Mr Maynard also criticised the firm over its communication with customers. He said: “We haven’t been told anything as to when it’s going to come back on at all. We just keep on getting, ‘We’re so sorry for the inconvenience.’
