King County prosecutors have charged 18-year-old Chase Daniel Jones with multiple counts of vehicular homicide , vehicular assault , and reckless driving following a deadly multi-vehicle crash in Renton . The crash occurred at the intersection of Southeast 192nd Street and 140th Avenue Southeast, where Jones ran a red light at 112 mph and collided with a minivan driven by the victim, who had five children inside.
The victim was killed in the crash, while two of the children remain in intensive care. Witnesses reported seeing Jones speeding and weaving through traffic prior to the collision
