A teenage boy was killed in a barrage of gunfire in Philadelphia's Fairhill neighborhood Thursday night. So many shots were fired that investigators had to hand-make additional evidence markers.
Authorities say more than 80 shots were fired in a shooting that claimed the life of a teenage boy and triggered a brief barricade situation Thursday night in North Philadelphia.
Officers from the Philadelphia Police Department were called to the 3400 block of Palethorp Street for reports of gunfire. Police found a 17-year-old boy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body and rushed him to Temple Hospital where he died. A 17-year-old was killed in a shooting that included more than 80 shots fired, according to police. Three persons of interest were brought into custody and two other may be still on the loose.
Responding officers took three persons of interest into custody, including two on foot and one person found in a black pickup truck.
