Schools should reintroduce parenting contracts to protect teachers from round-the-clock messages from families expecting an immediate reply, a union leader has said
Dr Patrick Roach called for the revival of home-school contracts, many of which were abolished in a bonfire of red tape about ten years ago, he said.The Nasuwt teaching union’s annual conference was told that teachers were now being bombarded with complaints and “urgent” messages via emails and apps because of the growth in online contact during the pandemic.
