For a quarter of a century, it has lain derelict and cut off from the outside world, with barely a soul having stepped foot inside the once beautiful Glasgow landmark - until now.
Drained for the final time back in 1997, the former Church Street School swimming pool in Partick is now in a state of advanced decay and locals fear it will soon be demolished.
It's an eerie glimpse of the once beautiful Victorian baths, which were enjoyed by generations of Partick youngsters down the decades. While the pool looks more like the sunken remains of shipwreck these days, much of the historic building is intact, albeit steadily rotting away. It certainly seems very unlikely that the pool will ever be brought back into use ever again.
Fears have been growing in recent years that the pool will meet the same fate as the buildings it was once connected to. Glasgow Council have said there are redevelopment plans being mooted for the former pool building, but won't yet reveal if that means it will be demolished.
