Taco Bell is testing a tostada piled on a Cheez-It that is 16x the size of a normal cracker. Many people just want the giant Cheez-It.
The Yum! Brands YUM, +0.21% Tex-Mex chain has teamed up with Kellogg’s K, +1.24% Cheez-It for a new menu item that they’re testing in California: the Big Cheez-It Tostada. Basically, the $2.49 dish piles seasoned beef, reduced-fat sour cream, fresh diced tomatoes, crisp lettuce and shredded cheddar cheese on top of an oversized Cheez-It cracker. There’s also a $4.
Not everyone can get their hands on them just yet, however, as they’re only being tested at one Taco Bell location in Irvine, Calif. at the moment. They will be available at the restaurant on 2222 Barranca Pkwy. for two weeks, or while supplies last. Fellow Yum! brand KFC is taking “finger-lickin’ good” literally with its “Finger Sporks.” The red plastic spoon-fork hybrid fits on your finger to “bring out the fun in family dinner,” according to a company press release. And there’s even a 90s-inspired infomercial to show you how to handle it. You can snag two free Finger Sporks by ordering a KFC Sides Lovers Meal on the KFC mobile app, KFC.com or at participating KFC locations through July 12, while supplies last.
