Police are investigating after a suspected dangerous driver who was forcibly removed from his van due to erratic behaviour has died in hospital.
Avon and Somerset Police responded to several calls at around 3.30pm on Friday regarding a van being driven dangerously on Wellsway in the south of Bath.Members of the public blocked the vehicle with their cars and broke its windows so they could take the keys from the ignition, the force said. The driver was detained by officers, but concerns for his welfare grew and an ambulance was called to the scene.A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said he was taken to Royal United Hospital in Bath but died overnight.
