The case of a 19-year-old fatally shot at a graduation party in June on the city’s far West Side remains open, and police are asking for help.
According to police, on June 19, Joshua Palma was shot and killed while attending a celebration party at a home in the 7400 block of Rimhurst Street, not far from Shaenfield Road and Loop 1604.
Police said the get-together had gone into the early morning hours and Palma was shot during a disturbance at the party. The suspect fled the scene.Investigators say they believe the shooter was a heavy-set man, but don’t have much other information to on, according to a preliminary report. SAPD said there were numerous people at the party and they are now asking if anyone present has not spoken to detectives to please do so.Tips can also be texted to CRIMES or by visiting the Crime Stoppers website.
