A Texas DPS Trooper tried to tase the suspect but was unsuccessful.
DPS officials say troopers attempted a traffic stop on a black Dodge Caravan off of Interstate 35 near Sommes Road in Comal County.
A trooper made contact with the driver of the Caravan, who was reportedly ignoring commands. The trooper then attempted to Tase the suspect several times but was unsuccessful. He then shot the suspect in the chest, officials say. Officials say there was also a female passenger in the Caravan who was transported to a local hospital with unknow injuries.
