A 38-year-old man suspected of slashing a Seattle bartender in the face in December has been released from jail on his own recognizance, according to court documents.
Marques Echols was charged with second-degree assault in the attack on Felicite Ogilvy.
Ogilvy, who works at Joe’s Bar & Grill, turned the suspect away after he refused to show proof of vaccination.“As soon as I throw him out that’s when he decides to fling a stick at my face,” said Ogilvy.Ogilvy needed 31 stitches to close the wound on her left cheek. Prosecutors sought to hold Echols on $75,000 bail but a judge released him on his own recognizance, court records state.
