The brothers joined thousands of people from seasoned pros to families, as everybody came together to pedal for purpose and raise money that will go towards helping children and young people
CAPED CHARITY CYCLISTS: Leon and Niall Betteridge cycled 50 miles for the NSPCC
Almost 3,000 cyclists of all abilities rode through the Queensway Tunnel which was closed to traffic during the event on Sunday, July 2. The riders could choose from eight different routes ranging from five to 100 miles during the bike ride, which was organised by Pennine Events, with the NSPCC as the headline charity.
"They’ve cycled the 25 miles from Chester for the last two years and really wanted to do the longer distance this year, so they were both buzzing afterwards. Our children are such a big part of our lives - it’s great to be able to support the valuable work the NSPCC does for children in the area.
