Roughly, 457 people were still out of their homes as of Monday evening as a mandatory evacuation order remained in place after a wind-blown wildfire in Sunshine Canyon forced people living in the Boulder County foothills to flee, according to the Boulder Office of Emergency Management.given just after 8 p.m., that it did not anticipate lifting the mandatory evacuation order or road closures from the fire overnight. Residents will be alerted if there are changes to the evacuation orders.
Earlier on Monday, the fire, which started in a structure in the 2900 block of Sunshine Canyon Drive,The remaining evacuation order affects 167 homes, according to the news release.
