Conor Quinn fights Chris Liddell for the Commonwealth Silver and BBBoC Celtic flyweight titles this weekend
Conor Quinn says sparring with World champion Sunny Edwards has dialled him in for the biggest night of his own boxing career this weekend.
Quinn told Belfast Live: "I have sparred Sunny twice now. I was out with him in Tenerife a couple of weeks ago at the Steel City Gym for the latest session. "But it brought me to a new level and it has prepared me for this weekend. He is fighting Jesse 'Bam' Rodriguez next, which is probably the best flyweight fight in the recent era.
Quinn has eased to a record of 7-1 and is preparing for his fourth fight of an active 2023. He was last seen back in August, outpointing Bryasn Castro at Falls Park. Quinn added: "This feels different. I treat every fight like a World title fight, but this feels like it is my moment. "Everything happens for a reason, and I am now headlining for my first titles. I just want to soak it all up.
