Sumptuous summer wine tasting thanks to award winning Ribble Valley wine shop with its own bar
With more palatable temperatures breezing in towards the end of the week, many of us will be looking forward to planning social highlights to see us through the rest of summer.
Matt Monk, retail manager of The Whalley Wine Shop, said the event, which takes place at Mytton Fold Hotel in Langho, will feature between 100 and 120 beverages from around the world, as well as delicious spirits and cider, with tickets catering for around 200 to 225 people. He said: “There will be at least ten suppliers, and each one gets to showcase ten of their best choices.
“We do get through a lot of wine, so we tend to use the spittoons quite a lot. But you know, as long as you pace yourself, and you have a bit of water in between all the tastings, you should be okay. You need to prepare and be like an Olympic athlete.”
