Futurama Season 11 Hints At A Previous War Between Earth & The Moon Futurama season 11, episode 5, "Related to Items You've Viewed" sees Fry, Leela, and Bender head to the moon in order to visit the massive Momazon warehouse. While there, the gang comes across a man living on the outskirts of the warehouse, with him running a farm in a parody of a small southern town.
During the 1000-year time gap in which Fry was cryogenically frozen, space travel improved, leading to the early stages of moon colonization. The moon became popular with rural farmers, such as the one seen in season 11, episode 5, although they were not the sole residents of the moon. Al Gore was the first emperor of the moon, although this is the only detail that has been revealed about the moon's governmental structure.
