Huntsville police say one student was wounded in an incident at Sonnie Hereford Elementary this morning. Police believe the shooting was an accidental self-inflicted wound.
parents were alerted to the incident:
“We are posting this alert to make you aware of a serious incident that occurred on campus this morning. We are working with law enforcement authorities to investigate a shooting incident that occurred inside the building. While the threat has been contained, one student did suffer injuries and that family has already been notified. We ask families to stay clear of campus at this time as we work with law enforcement authorities to address this incident.
