Amanda Abbington's Strictly Come Dancing partner Giovanni Pernice has broken his silence on her departure from the show. Amanda's exit was confirmed on It Takes Two on the BBC on Monday evening.
The actress said she didn't come to the decision to leave the hit BBC series "easily or lightly", adding that she made the choice due to "personal reasons". Giovanni has also broken his silence. In a post on Instagram, he wrote: "Amanda .. I am so sad we can’t continue but I am proud of what we achieved and I am sending you so much love @amanda_abbington74 @bbcstrictly.
Former Coronation Street actress Ellie Leach - who played Faye Windass in the soap - also reached out to her co-star. She said: "love you so much @amanda_abbington74," alongside a heart emoji.
