Alpha Tauri driver Nyck de Vries has posted shocking images of flooding in Italy that left the Formula 1 driver stranded in a nearby village.as heavy flooding hit the Emilia-Romagna region, seeing water from the Santerno river flood into the paddock and disrupt preparations.De Vries has since posted pictures of his arduous journeybefore the race was called off two days before cars were set to hit the track.
Local authorities report that at least nine people have been killed by the flooding, while thousands have been evacuated, and De Vries was caught up in the chaos. His team, Alpha Tauri, are located in the Emilia-Romagna region, and the Dutchman was left stranded as he attempted to get to his hotel. Posting on Instagram, he explained: “Tuesday evening 11:30 pm, on my way to Faenza ahead of a marketing day at the SAT factory on Wednesday.
