The recipients of this program will be selected by April 26, and the city anticipates the first payment will be sent out on June 1, according to the spokesperson.To be eligible, an applicant must live within the city limits of El Monte, be a single female head of household with no spouse or partner in the house, and have children younger than 17.
Those interested in applying for this program can do so either in person at the city manager's office, online, or by mail.
