The child tax credit was worth up to $3,000 or $3,600, depending on eligibility. Parents received $250 monthly between July and December for children aged 6-17. For families of kids age 5 and under, they received $300 monthly payments. The rest of the $3,000 or $3,600 amounts will have to be claimed when parents file their 2021 taxes.
