BREAKING: Still Game actor Stevie Allen has died.
The actor played Manky Frankie in the Scottish sitcom, which starred the likes of Ford Kiernan andMcCarry, who played Isa Drennan, paid tribute saying: ‘I’m so sad to hear this news.‘Then I used to see him at Glasgow Arts Centre. He was a fantastic guy, so genuine and full of fun,’ she said, according toTom Urie, who played Martin in an episode in 2003, added: ‘I knew Stevie at the very start of my career at the Byre Theatre in St Andrews. He was a lovely guy and a great actor.
As well as starring in three episodes of the sitcom from 2002 to 2004, Allen’s IMDb states he played a role in the 1997 film Macbeth.Allen appeared in three episodes of the sitcom Still Game ran until 2019, with the ninth and final series being one of the first programmes shown on BBC Scotland channel, when it first launched.
The popular programme had originally begun as a stage show, featuring the three main characters before it became a series.
