Kevin Thomson knows the interim boss better than most but admits it's hard going from teammate to manager.
Kevin Thomson has urged Steven Davis to go in and ruffle some feathers at Rangers to get the reaction he needs.
"He's a top man Davo and is held in the highest esteem by the fans," said Thomson. "He's a hall of famer and has conducted himself with the ultimate class that the Rangers badge deserves. "It can be quite difficult when you've been a teammate and so highly respected to go and ruffle a few feathers. I don't know what approach he'll take but he certainly need to get a reaction and the players will be desperate to play for him and put the wrongs right."
"Unfortunately results started to go against him as well and it's a sorry case really, when you're winning a game against Motherwell then get booed of the pitch, the writing's on the wall. To follow that up with a defeat at home to Aberdeen, it was impossible for the board not to act.
