The Buddies boss was full of confidence with his side boasting an unbeaten start to the league campaign.

It was this time last year that the Paisley outfit drew 1-1 with the Light Blues under former boss Gio van Bronckhorst in what would prove to be the final death knell for his Rangers tenure and saw the Buddies have a six point gap over the Gers. The St Mirren coach fancies the same outcome again, but doesn't want his men getting carried away by the occasion.
On fellow countryman Steve Davis, he added: "Obviously there has been change there and it doesn't surprise me. In the crazy world of football there is no longevity in any job. But it's up to me to worry about St Mirren, our dressing room and what we can get out of the game. We'll go into it in a positive manner. Obviously a new manager in Davo but they haven't signed any new players, we know what we're up against and we'll get a better picture of them tonight.
