Star Trek: Picard production designer Dave Blass shoots down fan complaints about the USS Titan's holodeck running during season 3's power crisis.

Star Trek: Picard season 3, episode 4, "No Win Scenario," depicted the USS Titan-A's holodeck functioning when the rest of the starship was without power, but the reason why is consistent with canon established in Star Trek: Voyager. Before Admiral Jean-Luc Picard , Dr.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY On Twitter, Dave Blass, Star Trek: Picard season 3's production designer, posted a video compilation of Star Trek: Voyager episodes explaining how the Titan's holodeck had power when the rest of the ship didn't. Check out the Tweet below: Star Trek: Picard season 3 showrunner Terry Matalas retweeted Blass' Tweet, which addressed fan complaints they'd received since episode 4 premiered on Paramount+. Of course, even with the explanation provided, some fans still took umbrage in their Twitter replies.Star Trek: Picard's Holodeck Power Source Explanation Is Consistent With Canon Star Trek: Picard season 3, episode 4, actually provided the explanation for why the holodeck was working when the Titan lacked power.

Picard's explanation for the holodeck's power source is consistent with what was established in the Star Trek: Voyager episodes "Macrocosm," "Parallax," and "Night." Those Voyager stories also addressed why the holodeck's independent power source couldn't be used to power the rest of the Titan -- because the holodeck's energy matrix isn't compatible with the rest of the ship's power relays.

Dave Blass providing the receipts to back up the reason why the Titan's holodeck had power in Star Trek: Picard season 3 still isn't enough for the show's most vehement detractors. A segment of Star Trek fans simply believe the current series' creators either "don't know" or "don't respect" Star Trek, even when the exact opposite can demonstrably be proven.
