Laurel Goodwin’s sister has confirmed the sad news, but didn’t disclose Laurel’s cause of death 😢
Maureen Scott, Laurel’s sister, confirmed that she passed away on 25 February in Cathedral City, California.Laurel shot onto the acting scene aged 19 after signing a contract with Paramount Pictures.This film was followed by Papa’s Delicate Condition, which was released in 1963. Glynis Johns and Jackie Gleason played the lead roles of a railroad inspector and his wife, while Laurel played their eldest daughter.
Filming finished in 1965 and, while producers initially wanted to keep Laurel on to try and shoot another pilot, she went on to be let go like the rest of the cast as a result of her co-star’s negotiations being stalled.
