The congregation of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, just three days after three members were fatally shot at a church dinner in the parish hall, returned on Sunday morning to worship, with a message of love.
“It was a simple meal of fellowship and love,” Burruss said. “He even invited his friend who would ultimately betray him... Jesus loved Judas so deeply, it cost him his life.” “There is no doubt in my mind that Bart and Jane and Sharon would invite their Judas again, and again, and again to their table,” Burruss said. “We trust in the unfailing faith of Bart and Jane and Sharon.”Rainey had noticed Smith sitting alone in the parish hall and invited him to sit at their table.
