Perth and Kinross has been hit hard by Storm Babet and an early decision to postpone the fixture has been made
The Scottish Premiership fixture was to kick-off on Saturday at 3pm at McDiarmid Park but will now be rescheduled.
Storm Babet has battered the region - parts of Perth and Kinross had a rare red warning Thursday into Friday - and with further rain and wind expected, an early call-off is the decision. A St Johnstone statement read: "The decision to postpone the match has been made in the interest of public safety as emergency services are currently stretched thin.
"Additionally, further extreme weather conditions are forecast across the Perthshire area with a red weather warning now in place until tomorrow midnight. "For the avoidance of doubt, the club has not raised any issues or concerns regarding the playing surface or surrounding areas in McDiarmid Park."
