Two other people died and five were injured in shootings and an aggravated assault on Friday night and Saturday in Baltimore.
On Saturday night, Northern District officers, responding to a call, were told a man had tried to take a security officer’s weapon in the 2000 block of Maryland Avenue. The security officer gained control of the weapon and fired at the man, who walked to a local hospital for treatment of a graze wound to the abdomen, police said. Police have the man in custody.
Earlier, a 58-year-old man was shot about 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the Penn North neighborhood, police said. Western District patrol officers responded to the 1600 block of West North Avenue for a shooting. Also Saturday morning, a 19-year-old man died and a 21-year-old man was injured in a shooting near the Oliver neighborhood.
