The Spurs made a flurry of staff moves Friday, highlighted by the addition of former WNBA star Candice Dupree as a development coach.as the NBA's first female full-time assistant coach, opening the door for scores of other women to follow.
Dupree, 38, is a 16-year veteran of the WNBA and won a championship with the Phoenix Sky in 2014, the same year Hammon made basketball history.Her arrival to the Spurs staff comes days after Hammon led the WNBA's Las Vegas Aces to a title in her first season as head coach.Brent Barry, a vice president of basketball operations since 2018, was named general manager of the Spurs' G-League franchise in Austin.
